As I get ready to restart Spanish Answers this March, I wanted to share a special update with you involving the 5th annual Women in Language (WIL) online conference this March! #womeninlanguage
Women in Language Conference!
Just a heads up: this update includes my affiliate link for the WIL conference. It doesn't increase the cost of the ticket for you; using my link just means that, as a speaker, I get a percentage of the final transaction. (See my Disclosure Policy)
You guys, I am so excited! I have been to every WIL conference since it first began in 2018. It is a phenomenal conference promoting women voices in language. It is an online conference that is open to everyone (men, women, it doesn't matter!). Every year I learn something new about languages and learning languages, I get to meet incredible people, and in the past couple of years they've added live practice sessions where you can get together with other conference attendees and practice the language that you're learning! The chat's are also non-stop action, which is one reason you should attend as many sessions as possible live! :)
And, to top it off, I'm one of this year's speakers! (I feel like this lady!)
What I'll be Talking About
The title of my speech is "You - Yes YOU - Can Teach Your Baby Sign Language!" I don't think I've shared this with you before, but my husband and I have spent the past 2 years teaching our daughter American Sign Language (ASL). At the conference, I'll be talking about what the benefits are to teaching your child ASL, as well as what ASL is, and then sharing my family's personal journey and how we've taught / exposed my daughter to over 300 signs!
Interested?
If WIL sounds like an event you'd love to attend, here's all of the details:
When: March 4th-6th, Friday through Sunday
Cost: $29
Where: Online. All you need to attend is a computer and internet connection! (Although, if you want to join in on the chats, I think you need a YouTube account as well)
How to get a ticket/more information: Use my link here.
I always have a wonderful time, and after each conference I feel inspired and re-energized for my language journey. If you would like an inside look at what's coming this year, check out this episode from The Fluent Show! Kerstin shares the thoughts and self-introductions of 10 of this year's speakers, including yours truly! :)
I hope to see you there!
Remember, learning a language is a lifelong journey.
